AUSTIN, Texas (September 08, 2026) – The Risk & Insurance Education Alliance (The Alliance) opened enrollment for the Certified AI Insurance Credential (CAIC), a new credential designed to help risk management and insurance professionals understand, evaluate, and responsibly apply artificial intelligence in their organizations.
Developed by insurance industry practitioner and AI educator Jay Greene, CLCS, founder of Agentic Insurance AI, the Certified AI Insurance Credential (CAIC), grew out of a question now facing agencies and carriers across the industry: How do you put AI to work without putting the client relationship, or the license, at risk? CAIC provides a practical, insurance-focused approach to one of the industry’s most significant emerging technologies. The credential combines nine self-paced video module s, knowledge checks, and a proctored certification examination to help professionals build confidence in the use and governance of AI.
“AI decisions are already landing on insurance desks every day: which tool to buy, which workflow to automate, what to promise a client,” said Greene. “We built the CAIC, so professionals make those calls from knowledge instead of a sales deck, and The Alliance is exactly the partner to bring that education to the industry at scale.”
The curriculum covers AI fundamentals, property and casualty workflow applications, vendor evaluation, governance practices, regulatory considerations, and errors and omissions exposures associated with AI adoption. Participants will receive 12 months of access to the course content and will maintain their credential through annual update requirements that keep pace with the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
The Alliance, which has delivered professional education for the risk and insurance industry for more than five decades, views the CAIC as an important addition to its educational portfolio as artificial intelligence increasingly affects insurance operations, client service, regulatory expectations, and professional responsibility.
“The pace of AI adoption continues to accelerate across insurance,” said William Hold, CRM, CISR, President & CEO of the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance. “The CAIC provides a practical framework for understanding both the opportunities and responsibilities that come with AI, empowering professionals to make informed decisions while protecting the trust placed in them by clients and organizations.”
Continuing education credit is pending state approval and will be administered through The Alliance. The credential is owned and operated by Agentic Holdings LLC.
